School of witchcraft

The school of witchcraft is a major project we have put in hand, this stated off with the objective being to produce a basic, but detailed course covering all areas of the craft, but particularly the areas known as witchcraft. It has grown over time to become the university of the traditional crafts.

By working with, rather than competing with the academy site aimed a teens primarily, we now see this as a multi stage process, with many paths or groups having some very basic courses on their websites, the academy offering a fun and lighter basic introduction to the craft and the university taking on the larger task of knowledge in depth. In effect we are now moving to a position where information is more organised by use, and a lot more shared use should be able to be made.

This project will now comprise a number of websites including an improved library and skills centre.

These websites are:-

  • www.school-of-witchcraft.com is the main university site
  • www.book-of-shadows.com will become the universities library and also a general library for the TCA
  • www.book-of-shadows.net will become the practical skills centre.
  • www.witchpages.com  will continue to hold a vast and growing amount of material from an even wider collection of areas. It is viewed not so much a library but s a repository of information. It also has a new portal section being designed to replace the existing one which is novel but many find difficult to use.
  • www.witchcraft-school.com  is the academy of witchcraft website, running a teen and somewhat lighter course.
  • www.witchraft-schhool.com is the tutor site that runs with the academy side, and its use will change somewhat.
  • www.school-of-witchcarft.com is currently the site for those volunteering to write foe the courses but its use will also switch to tutoring soon.

The information is free to use, with no pop up or other distractions.

Contents

Course access for most to this material is contained on a site called appropriately www.school-of-witchcraft.com there are a number of sections but most of this site comprises two sections, a course based on structured modules allowing a spread of knowledge to be acquired in a planned sequence and a reference section.

The course section as modules intended to be taken in sequence, where each segment includes a variety of material in a way that allows knowledge to be built upon. It includes practical elements. Any term is explained the first time it is used, but is hyper linked on future occasions to a glossary entry that shows in a small section at the bottom of the screen. Presented in this way, it allows over a period for any person with the interest to pick up the basics of all craft knowledge, in an interesting and informative way.

The reference section has information by topic, with cross references and links to other material. Further sections list books and some other reference information..

Writers required

More course and reference writers are required to expand this project. Email us at "new-authors @ book-of-shadows.org" if you are able to help, there are no spaces before or after the @. The amount you undertake can be limited to your chosen area of knowledge or time available.

Advisers on specific brands or paths are also required, who will look through all new material and point out any oversight, and likewise people with specific interest in particular craft skills.

A new introduction to witchcraft course is now live at www.water-witches.com/introduction
