Portal - this site

Witchpages is an online library of everything to do with the craft and witchcraft portal

It is made up of two sections a portal that is fully functional now but will grow and expand over time, and wisdom section, that is made up of a very large number of collections of books and documents.

Amongst the document collection you will find complete books of shadows, historic and current copies, book explaining specific aspects or the craft or historic books that developed into or influenced sections of the craft. Many of these documents are public domain copies that we have found or been given, and some are coming from the collections of member groups.

This collection will be further extended by specially written articles, both for witchpages and some as a bi-product of the two school projects.

Witchpages documents will also be used within the two courses, and therefore by working with these projects expand its own collection further.

Although witchpages is run by one member group, and will also contain information of specific interest to them, primarily connected with herbal magic. It is a joint projects many member groups are involved in.

The portal section was created initially by taking everything from this sites portal classifying it and making it far easer to use. Over time the amount of links on this sites portal will be cut back to major links and witchpages will become the major portal for the group.

Timescale is difficult to set, the portal is running now, as is the basic wisdom system. Very many documents have been obtained but work on improving the layout is taking some time. It will grow over time rather then being straight forward implementation as some other sites are.

Work is in hand to break this into two sites the portal will remain where it is but the library element is being redeveloped and will have its own site a www.book-of-shadows.com a web address that currently duplicates a second copy of this web site.

Update Oct 2005 - work is coming along well on the above, it has been combined with work being done towards providing a university on the traditional craft - school of witchcraft page
